There are a variety of products that fall into this category, including:

New Zealand growers usually generalise this product as “yellow flower”.

O.P. varieties have been grown in New Zealand for a long time. Hybrid products have been successfully grown since early 2001.

Ariki Seed has some growers who have moved from specialising in growing open pollinated crops, to growing hybrid crops.

We produce the crops on demand as mixed harvest hybrids, one or two parents separate harvest.

There are a range of sowing dates, depending on your specific requirements. We have found that defined variety description from the breeder is the key to success.

The crops vary from needing to be raised in a nursery, or sown in the very early spring of late August, to the short cycle variety which thrives best on a late sowing in the Spring (October).

If you let us know your needs, we can determine how the program can best be implemented with our growers in the New Zealand climate.
